You hear it all the time, celebrities are just like us. So, how alike are they really? We have found a list of celebrities (and even their kiddos) that enjoy cleaning their own house and doing their own dirty work. Who would have known it wasn’t all about designer shoes and botox?
Johnny Weir made a statement on “The Today Show” that vacuuming is one of his favorite activities even! Cameron Diaz cares about those icky germs. Not only does she open doors with her elbows to avoid the germs that are crawling all over the knobs, she also admitted to scrubbing her home and washing her hands multiple times a day. Her statement on the issue was, “I’m not scared of germs, I’m just not into other people’s fluids.” Probably a statement we can all agree with.
Christian Aguilera stated that her son Max Liron has a cleaning fetish and loves to dust and clean. Also stating that “vacuum” was one of his first words, Max loves cleaning his high chair after he’s done eating. Aguilera said, “it’s so cute! I’ll lift him down and the first thing he does is to take a rag and clean off his chair. He’s mommy’s littler helper.” And helper he does seem.
Kirstie Alley loves to clean that one spot most of us despise, the bathroom. She exclaimed that she likes them to be spotless. Did you know she even cleans the bathroom on any airplane she rides? Kirstie says, “Do you know, when I’m in airplanes, I always get a bottle of vodka and I go into the nasty bathrooms, and I wipe it down. I clean everything before I go to the bathroom.” So, not only is she cleaning her own bathroom, she’s helping everyone else to have a clean place to use the toilet.
Is there therapy in cleaning? Helena Bonham Carter believes there is. Carter believes that with the understanding of putting your house in order, it also gets your head in order as well. Helena states, “I know all about (cleaning product) Cillit Bang, which I use on the cooker. I’ve done therapy and it was helpful, but with acting I dream every day, scream and get the tensions out. And you’re paid for that rather than paying for a therapist.”
So, if you thought all celebrities hired cleaners to do all their dirty work, think again. Although, most probably do, there are still some celebrities that find enjoyment in cleaning their own living spaces.
